Jack and Marion Moses had already lived in a Norwegian Log lodge before buying at Abbotsley. “We loved living in a log lodge. So much so, that when we decided to be closer to our grandchildren in Cambridgeshire we set about looking for a similar holiday lodge in the area,” says Marion, who has run several successful businesses over the years including a health shop and importing Mexican furniture.
“Fortunately, Norwegian Log told us about Abbotsley Country Homes, and as soon as we saw it we were amazed by how spacious and well landscaped the site was. We’d looked at many different parks, and without a doubt Abbotsley was the best we’d seen,” continues Marion.
Jack is a former Director of the Furniture Industry Research Association, so he knows a thing or two about wood. He’s very impressed by the quality of their Norwegian Log holiday lodge: “We love our lodge and we love the lifestyle – we definitely prefer log to bricks and mortar! We were here at Abbotsley in December 2010 when temperatures dropped to -17 °C, and we were really impressed by how warm and cosy we were.”
Jack and Marion also love the peace and quiet at Abbotsley. “It’s lovely to wake up and hear the birdsong,” enthuses Marion. “It feels very safe, too. It’s a gated community, and neighbours look after each other and keep an eye on things when you’re away. We also love the convenience of being so close to shops in St Neots, but the highlight is that special feeling of being in the heart of beautiful countryside.”
